How do you find percent change?

I assume you have 2 measurments start - ##x_s## and finish - ##x_f##.

To calculate the change you use this formula:

##c=|x_f-x_s|/x_sxx100%##

Example:

Let's say that a temperature changed from ##300K## to ##330K##. To calculate the percent change I use the formula:

##c=|330-300|/300xx100%=30/300xx100%=1/10xx100%=10%##

From these calculations we see that the temperature change (increase) is ##10%##
