QUESTION

# How do you find percent change?

See explanation.

I assume you have 2 measurments start - x_s and finish - x_f.

To calculate the change you use this formula:

c=|x_f-x_s|/x_sxx100%

Example:

Let's say that a temperature changed from 300K to 330K. To calculate the percent change I use the formula:

c=|330-300|/300xx100%=30/300xx100%=1/10xx100%=10%

From these calculations we see that the temperature change (increase) is 10%
