CLASSMATE’S RESPONSE
Within a work environment, I function extremely well as an individual but also as a functional part of a team. I thrive on clear directives, organization, methodic behavior, efficiency and effectiveness. I am extremely driven in my own behavior and perceived success and often become frustrated with those who are less organized, less driven and proactive. Patience and defining someone else's success criteria and understanding their motivations clarifies why or how someone reaches a goal. I am coming to understand that we do not all think the same way and sometimes we can shape and coach others and sometimes we cannot. I also try to focus not so much on changing the other person's work style to match my own, but instead integrating that style into the overall team effort.
