QUESTION

I am not good with writing, how do I go about doing this?

e-mail according to the situation given below. You should submit the assignment to me by the date indicated in the schedule for this class. No late assignments may be submitted unless prior arrangements are made with the instructor.     Background Situation:   Assume you are the manager of a retail store. You would like to have your 11 employees attend a seminar on customer service, and you have heard that I will be holding such a seminar in the next few months.    e-mail to me asking the details (dates, times, and location) of the next customer service seminar. You should also request information on the cost of the seminar and deadlines for registration.

Since this assignment is simulating an e-mail, you may simply begin with the salutation (Dear Dr. Tanner) and conclude the assignment with an appropriate closing (Sincerely) with your typed name below the complimentary closing.

Your assignment will be evaluated for proper content, punctuation, and grammar. Please refer to the Writing Assignment 1 Evaluation Sheet to determine how points can be earned and lost.     Please follow these guidelines for this assignment:    Paragraph 1:

In a direct approach message, your first sentence indicates the purpose of the message. Therefore, your first sentence should begin with "Please" and immediately signal to the reader that you are requesting information. For example, you might want to use a sentence such as, "Please provide answers to the questions below regarding your next customer service seminar." Your second sentence of the first paragraph should briefly identify that you are the manager of a retail store and want to bring your 11 employees to the seminar.

Paragraph 2:

This section will include a listing of the specific questions. In a message requesting information, you should use specific questions and use a format to make the questions stand out by numbering them or using bullets.  For example: (1) What are the dates of the next customer service seminar? (2) What time does the seminar begin and end each day? (3) What is included in the registration cost?    Paragraph 3:   Include a goodwill close in the final paragraph.
