I am trying to work out a relationship for a string of 'n' numbers as follows: n1 = 14 n2 = 30 n3 = 70 n4 = 162 n5 = 378 n6 = 882 n7 = 2058 .
[***][***]
14 (2 lots of 7 -7 being the search variable) transforms into 6 (2 lots of 3 - 3 being the replace variable)
This is then the end of the process as the replace string is now shorter than the search string.
As can be seen from the first part of the question, I have calculated the starting number for seven consecutive values where this process ends with a value of 6.
Please assist in generating the equation that allows me to generate the starting number (as above n1, n2, n3 etc) for any given number of transformation steps "n"
