For each member of your presentation group: You need to identify three sources of data, then create three charts and present them to the class. Please do your own research and find data that is relevant to your major or interests. No two students should create the same scenarios for the following problems.
Excel
1. Find values for at least four people, organizations, or things. For example: vote totals for four candidates, population of four states, gross earnings for four entertainers, etc. Create a worksheet foryour data. Include a heading which identifies the subject for your data, (like: Population for the WesternStates) and identify the website where you collected the information in a sub-heading. Below the headings create two columns (with column headings) for your names and values. Insert a column chartin the same worksheet. Include your names on the horizontal axis and your values in the vertical axis.Specify a title in your chart and properly label the horizontal and vertical axis.
2. Pick any type of system made up of several components that can be purchased individually, or pick atopic where individual items contribute to the whole. Some examples: A high-end computer system, a home theater system, bedroom or living room furnishings, budget item categories for a company budget, allocation of an organization’s human resources, etc. Research the amounts for each component and enter this information on a worksheet using at least two columns (Example: component name, price or budget item and amount). Determine the total for the system. Create a heading over your worksheet. On the same worksheet create a pie chart that shows both the amount of each component and the percentage it contributes to the total. Also be sure that you have a title for your chart.
3. Search the Internet for two series of data that varies over a fixed time interval. For example: GDP per year for two countries, population per year for two countries, sales per month for two different products, etc. Each series should have at least 5 values. Enter this data in a worksheet in the same workbook.Include a heading above your worksheet and a reference to the website where the data was obtained as a sub-heading. Enter your time period values in one column followed by the data for the two series in the next two columns. Use appropriate column headings. Create a line chart in the same worksheet that compares the two series of data.
