In 1969, he went ahead to set up an independent practice for which he worked as a sole operator in the later days. Glenn Murcutt is known as a country person. Among his significant preoccupations as an architect is the connection of his building to the nature, landscape and the bush. According to Murcutt, a building works as a filter between elements and man.
