It could also be beneficial to students by providing them an opportunity to earn during their spare time. Shift work holds many advantages for companies and businesses. It is important here to acknowledge that shift work has both unique advantages and limitations. Therefore, lawmakers, regulatory bodies, companies, directors, managers, and employees need to understand in-depth the impact shift work has on employees, families, and society. This will help in identifying the advantages of shift work that can be further accentuated and the weaknesses that need to be mitigated (Finn, 1981).
