I will pay for the following article Stand and Deliver: Becoming a Teacher. The work is to be 3 pages with three to five sources, with in-text citations and a reference page. Teaching is not an occupation but rather a vocation. It is a way of life that most people will not understand. As a teacher, you must be willing to share yourself with your students. There is no room for selfishness and pride. Your students are a part of your life and you are a part of theirs. All things considered, I can truly understand the actions of Jaime Escalante on both a professional and personal level. The honest to goodness answer to that question is a resounding yes. Most of the students these days lack focus and direction because of any number of reasons. A troubled home life, a learning disability, even being just plain lazy, or not being interested in learning at all. These are the lost souls who need help in finding their direction in life. That direction is more often than not provided by the educators in our modern times. As educators, we see the problems of our students and we may not always be in the right position to help them, but we can at least help them sort out their problems and guide them towards a non self destructive path. There have been many educators in the past who have tackled what some school systems deem to call “the lost cause” only to have these lost causes come up as winners in the end.
