I think the textbook answers the question about exclusion perfectly. "God desires to include all but He desires to include them exclusively through Christ. " (Lamra, 2015) Christianity is exclusive by design. By God's grace people are given free will and the option of salvation. That is God's way of including everyone who wishes to be included. However, once someone wishes to be included, they must have faith in Jesus Christ and a firm belief in His works. It is only through Him that salvation can be achieved. One must accept Jesus Christ, confess their sins, repent for their sins, and transition from selfish to selfless.

The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the only savior of the world and all other means of salvation are false. The apostle Peter declared: "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). So according to Christianity, Jesus is the only source of salvation. The Bible also teaches that everyone, through the general revelation of nature, knows that God exists, and that through the original sin, all of humanity is deserving of death (Romans 1:32). Therefore, all humans to ever live, whether they have heard of Christ or not, are guilty and without excuse before God for rejecting what they do know about God (Romans 1:20, 21; 3:23). Jesus Himself said that He is the ONLY way to the Father, and anyone trying to enter by any other means (other than through Himself) would be treated as a thief and a robber, and be cast into outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. However, that having been said, Jesus invites everyone to come to Him. He will never exclude anyone who is willing to repent (turn their backs on their sins) and become better.
