If you would like extra help on your research paper and you have finished writing a draft of it, please submit it here and I will go over it.  If you fix all of the problems I point out you will learn more about the writing process and get an excellent grade on your final draft when you turn it in at the end of the semester.  For me you really give you any help, I need a complete draft to work from, so please do not submit partial drafts.  Any draft that is not 4 full pages with correct citations will not be reviewed.  This is not required, and is not graded, but is highly recommended.

This the previous question

Now that you have chosen a topic and found some sources, I would like you to submit an outline of your paper.  At this point it should be a very basic outline made up of information for your introduction, three main body topics, and a conclusion.  You should use Word to write this, as it has an automatic outlining feature that will help you with formatting.

Show me what your main thesis statement or argument is, where you are going to use your sources, what information you are getting from them, and in general what you are going to write about.  I will then give you feedback to show you if you are on the right track, and what you need to do to begin writing.  Remember, on the page in Module 2 dealing with help on your paper there is a section on how to get Word to create an outline for you.

Note: When you tell me where you will use your sources, please do not just say something like "Secondary Source Here".  Actually tell me what source.

This was my instructor comment

You have the foundations of a very good outline, but it needs some detail to assist your writing. Make sure to add in specific examples that support your argument That way, your outline assists you in the writing process. Make sure to consider regions. Where and how did enslaved people benefit from the Revolution? Where did they not? If you can, I recommend Ira Berlin's book, Generations of Captivity. He has an entire chapter, titled "Revolutionary Generations," that will really help your paper.
