Part I

The first of three topical areas of interest to me is the inquiry of the problem or the thesis to be objectively and logically discussed through writing. Through inquiry and research of complex ideas or problems will provide the writer with the ability to write in a descriptive and analytical way to their readers. The second topical area is the purpose of what the writer is set out to accomplish. The writer could be providing an argument to instill deeper thought, elaborating on a problem from a logical or ethical stance, or to simply educate the reader from the writer’s thought process. Lastly the third topical area of interest to me, the student, is the rhetorical analysis from the writer’s stance of the inquiry of the problem and the stance in which the writer takes the reader on an educational journey.

Part II

In order for any writer to understand the purpose of writing they must understand the art of conversation. There is a conversation between the writer and the reader and in order to become a great writer, you must understand the reader. When the reader understands the underlying questions and issues identified by the writer a conversation within the reader’s mind begins to occur. A writer must understand this concept in

order to instill the thought process of the reader to necessarily address the complexity of the issue or idea to be conversed over. Our text advises of the three stages of collecting information, drafting, and revising your work till it creates the proper conversation needed by the writer. The most important part to me is the

revising significantly stage. This stage must be done many times over to ensure the writer is closing any gaps within the conversations as possible with the reader.
