1. Vapor pressure: Suppose 0.50g of pure water is sealed in an evacuated 5.0-L flask and the

whole assembly is heated to 600C. Will any liquid water be left in the flask or does all of the

water evaporate? Why?

2. Using the Clausius-Clapeyron equation: Calculate the enthalpy of vaporization of diethyl

ether, (C2H5)2O.  This compound has vapor pressures of 57.0 mm Hg and 534 mm Hg at

-22.8oC and 25.0oC, respectively.

3. At higher atmospheric pressures, to cook a hard-boiled egg, you should boil the egg for a (longer or shorter??) time because the water is boiling at a (higher or lower??) temperature.
