Laboratory Activity Report – Evidence and Crime Scenes

At the conclusion of each laboratory project, a written report will be required. This is your opportunity to tell the instructor what you have learned from the weekly content by focusing on the criteria listed above. Reports should display critical thinking. Prior to completing this assignment, review your Week Six Final Paper to determine what aspects of this week’s material may be used. You should also review the week’s readings, lab materials, and lab notes. For this report, you will discuss and differentiate between the various tasks and personnel at a crime scene.

Your report must address the following elements:

  • Describe the results you obtained from each laboratory activity.
  • Describe the steps that must be taken to secure and process a crime scene.
  • Explain the various personnel at a crime scene, and explain what each of them does.
  • Discuss whether you believe it is a good idea to have personnel who have different skills and training at the crime scene and the laboratory or whether there should be fewer people with multiple specialties.
  • Articulate what aspects of this week’s material you can use to complete your analysis of the crime scene in your final assignment.
