MG305 Term Project (15%)—BUSINESS PLAN

Project Due: 25 FEBURARY 2018

You are required to develop a sustainable business plan (refer to chapter 16 of the MG305 textbook for detail description of the business plan).

Assume you are successful business entrepreneur in Fiji (or any South Pacific nation), who intends to establish a petrochemical processing plant in a freehold land (assume 300 acres) that you possess in a very pleasant location that has quite good amenities and facilities (roads, nearby port, infrastructure, etc.).

This business plan will be submitted to the venture capitalist to acquire funding for the setting up of the petrochemical plant.

Additionally, the business plan that you will develop must take into account numerous economic and demographic characteristics of Fiji and other nations.

The following segments must be covered in the business plan: executive summary, business description, sustainability segment, marketing segment, operations segment, sustainability development measures of performance, management segment, financial segment, critical-risks segment, harvest strategy segment, milestone schedule segment and appendix/bibliography.

Note:

1. Petrochemical plants convert natural resources such as crude oil, natural gas, ores and minerals into products for a wide range of applications. They produce many important building blocks for industry processes, including ethylene, propylene, butadiene, and aromatics.

2. You are welcome to make various apposite assumptions (e.g. size of the plant, capacity of the plant, zoning requirements for the plant, costs incurred in setting the plant, etc.).
