You will complete a 7- to 10-slide PowerPoint presentation that outlines professional and unprofessional attire and behaviors for your chosen career. The presentation should also address best practices regarding physical appearance and behavior, such as hairstyles, tattoos, accessories, jewelry, piercings, communication, and attitude. Emphasize the importance of managing your professional image for career success, detailing essential practices in your field.

The PowerPoint presentation must include:

  • A title slide
  • 5-8 content slides that include:
    • In-text citations, in the current APA format, located under each image used in each slide. This would include credits for any common creative images.
    • Two examples (including two images) of unprofessional attire within your chosen career.
    • Two examples (including two images) of professional attire within your chosen career.
    • Two examples (including two images) of unprofessional behaviors within your chosen career.
    • Two examples (including two images) of professional behaviors within your chosen career.
    • Two examples (including two images) of best practices for other factors related to appearance and behaviors (such as hairstyles, tattoos, accessories, jewelry, piercings, communication, attitude, etc.)within your chosen career.
  • Each slide should include Images with alt-text (a description of each image).
  • A reference slide with two to three references from the reading or other resources used (not including images) in APA format.

Part II

Presentation Notes

For the second part of this assignment, you will create a Word document that contains the explanation for each slide of your presentation. This document should be a detailed outline of your PowerPoint presentation, and should include:

  • A written out version of what you would present, should you be presenting to a live audience.
  • The reasoning for why you chose the images for each slide.

For example:

  • Slide 1: Title slide
  • Slide 2: A 50- to 100-word, written out presentation of what is covered in slide 2.
  • Slide 2 image: “I chose the image for slide two based on…” and so on.

When the assignment is complete, save your slides in Microsoft PowerPoint format and your explanation/reasoning for each slide in a Word document. Then, submit both documents to the Unit 2 Assignment Dropbox (both are required for grading).
