He also felt ashamed of letting others know about his virginity. When Trish tries to make with him out in the first place, at that time too Andy acted weird with abnormal behaviors. Deciding to have sex on the twentieth date was another psychological manner, exercised on Andy’s part. The oddest noticeable thing was the availability of myriad suspicious belongings in Andy’s apartment. If his psyche was so celibate towards sex, then why he seemed to be extremely curious about sex puts the audience in a thoughtful situation. Andy’s psychology of sex, keeping it secret, behavior towards other women as if they are going to eat him alive, keeping myriad suspicious items, all these things points to some confused psychologies revolving inside Andy’s head. The character of Andy displayed psychopathological behaviors in numerous manners, through the entire film.
Andy’s character stayed very likable throughout the movie. The movie had been a comical success, majorly due to the role played of Andy. His character in the movie is very simple and vital. His past failures put him into his own capacities by abandoning of ever having sex again, which makes him a virgin at 40 years of age. It’s not that by putting off sex, he’s dealing with some no life, as a typical dork. He has got too much on his plate, a job along with his own time fillers activities (video games, TV shows) except sex thoughts. He doesn’t even seem to pleasure himself through pornography or masturbation, as he is not a mono-sexual but can be said as asexual.
