In most occasions, able parents mostly constituting of fathers willingly avoid providing support for the development of their children born out of wedlock or children born to their divorced wives (Saini 1). This type of abuse is very common in India. maternal under-nutrition, as well as unsafe deliveries, is performed in India. Additionally, it is evident that India lacks adequate immunization facilities. Unfortunately, such neglects results to death of young children in addition to exposing the innocent child to many problems that may lead to psychological problems or malnutrition in case of low access to foods. The future of most children is also marred by this type of abuse. Child maltreatment also affects children significantly. This kind of abuse constitutes of physical abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation as well as emotional abuse. In connection with this, it is evident that most of the child abuses are concealed by members of the society contributing to their advancement. For instance, Gerald Sandusky (an ex- PSU football coach) was left unpunished when he was associated with consistent child sexual abuse. Additionally, the case of Sandusky expounds on how other members of the staff contributed to the continuity of the Sanduskys abuse for many years. the workers failed to report Sandusky’s un-societal acts to the authority (Hartil 4).

From the above cases, one can deduce that the members of the community have a responsibility as well as the potential for doing away with child abuse from the society. For instance, coming up with laws that will enhance punishment of the perpetrators of child abuse will significantly contribute to the lowering of such incidents from the society.
