“The Stoop Storytelling Series is a popular event in Baltimore in which 7 people get 7 minutes each to tell a true, personal tale on a shared theme in front of a live audience.
Since its founding in 2006, The Stoop has featured the stories of more than 450 Baltimoreans onstage. These stories are now available on its web site and podcast, and are frequently aired on local public radio station WYPR-FM.
Guided by the motto, "Everyone has a story. What's yours?", The Stoop's mission is to showcase the extraordinary stories of "ordinary" people. We believe strongly that sharing a true, personal tale is an act of witness that offers empowerment to the storyteller, and enlightenment, inspiration, insight—and entertainment!—to the listener.”
Follow the link below to the Stoop Storytelling Series Website, and explore the various audio files of past Stoop Series. Generally, each session is centered around a given theme, and since this has been happening since 2006 there have been shows about countless topics. Please take some time to look trough all of the categories and speakers (you may see some familiar names through the years!). Once you have looked through the options, listen to some of the clips, and find a few stories that resonate with you.

If you need to make up one reflection session please complete ONLY Question 1.

Since this is a reflection assignment for a service-learning course, you should make the story relate somehow to your service, or to realizations about yourself that you reached as a result of your service (ex. Did working at your site change how you see yourself, your passions and contributions to the world? Did interacting with a special individual at your site lead you to a new realization about yourself or others?). This reflection should, at minimum, be two pages, double-spaced in length,
