Now assume that the MNC you chose in Part 3 has the following receivables and payables expected by end of March 2018.
Receivables: 100,000,000 Euros
Payables: 125,000,000 GBP
Assume that you are responsible for managing the foreign exchange exposure and you want to make a decision or a recommendation to the upper management, whether to hedge or not.
You will make a report to be presented in front of the Board of Directors of the MNC in which you justify your decisions and present a detailed financial analysis of every step you followed to make that decision.
Ideally this report must contain analysis of every step similar to what we did in class but it is much more comprehensive and uses real life data such as data on:
- Futures or Forward quotes
- Options Call/Put
- Money market interest rates
- Possible spot rates in the future (in order to analyze whether the option could be exercised or not)
The analysis is not limited at all to one chapter, i.e. Ch. 11. NO it is an integrative analysis of all the concepts that you learnt in the class room, use all the knowledge you acquired, use your imagination and be very creative but rational at the same time.
You may find all the data needed on Thomson Reuters Eikon or on other sources such as those mentioned above.
You need to make a detailed report and submit also a soft copy as well as a hardcopy. You must also submit all relevant excel sheets in soft copies. Do not forget to include in your report all references used, and all reports, news articles etc... in an appendix.
