• Many individuals are often used the terms Internet and World Wide Web interchangeably as though they are the same. In reality they are not the same. The World Wide Web (www) is strictly limited to network communication with a web server using a browser and http protocol. In the beginning all the websites started with www, for example www.google.com. www.aol.com etc. Connecting to a website was the common activity until other network non browser based application started to emerge, like instant messaging, email, file transfer (uploading and downloading of video and audio files) etc which use different protocols. In short, WWW is part of the Internet.
