Our first discussion board is meant to help us get to know each other.   Begin by telling your classmates a little about yourself, whatever you are comfortable with sharing:  background, place of origin, your major, hobbies, interests, etc.  After this introduction, and in a new paragraph, I want you to reflect on your experiences (positive or negative)  as a writer and reader? What is your relationship to reading and writing?  Are you an avid reader?  Do you tremble at the thought of writing an essay?  Have you had any memorable experiences in previous writing classes?  Have you read any books (other than religious texts) that were meaningful? You do not have to limit yourself to writing or reading in an academic setting. As with all discussion board, you will make an initial  post of at least 300 words.  In this initial post you should respond to the prompt as thoroughly as possible.
