Choose any multi-national organization that you would like to use to exemplify the particular concept you chose. This will mean gathering your own data rather than having it ready for you in a case study. For example, you might choose to look at the organizational structure of Honda and how that structure makes Honda competitive in the global market. Or you might look at the political risks inherent in BP’s oil ventures throughout the world and how these risks are mitigated to allow BP to remain competitive. (The chosen organization is google)

Each case study, regardless of delivery method, should address the following:

·         Explanation of the specific course concept exemplified in your chosen organization which is ch 9 (Staffing, Training, and Compensation

for Global Operations)

·         Go from general to specific: first explain the research about the general concept, then apply it to your particular organization

·         Discuss the benefits and problems the organization has experienced related to this concept. How has the organization used the concept to become more successful? Was there a time when the organization suffered greatly because the concept was not properly utilized (e.g. the wrong organizational structure was in place, causing failure in communication and trust)

·         Some discussion of competing organizations and how they use or misuse the concept in their companies

·         Conclusion tying it all together and including your reaction to the organization
