The goal of this project is to create a collage that is a visual representation of the things that motivate you. Research shows that if you have a visual reminder of your motivators you will have more of a chance to achieve your goals. This project has two parts: 1) the collage and 2) the descriptive paragraph. 1) The collage: the collage should be on poster board that is typically 22”x 28” in size. It should include pictures, photographs, words, sayings/motto's... (you can represent the collage in other ways too, I just prefer that it is not in digital format – on the computer)The pictures/words should represent both your intrinsic and extrinsic motivators. Also, incorporate two theories of motivation into the collage. For example, you can customize Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to match your own, specific hierarchy of needs, or show how you live by the drive theory or arousal theory. You can use pictures from magazines and newspapers, print out pictures, words, sayings, or you can draw/color/paint it yourself. Have fun with it – let your inner child out and be creative! 2) The descriptive paragraph: this is a short, one-paragraph (double-spaced) description piece discussing why you chose the pictures/sayings you did, how they are intrinsic or extrinsic motivators, and what made you pick the theories you chose.
