Please provide your advice in relation to this Management Situational Assessment. I have 16 questions overall which I am uploading individually.

Q. 15 - Situation:

You head a section of five people. A colleague from another part of the company who is highly regarded for successfully heading up new initiatives, is forming a working party which will tackle a key organisation issue. She has approached you as she believes that you are able to make useful contributions. Involvement in the working party could easily absorb 20% of your time over the next three months. The issue being tackled has significant medium-term benefits for the whole company, although it will have little immediate impact on the aims and working practices of your particular section. The timing is particularly bad for you and your team in terms of current workload.
