Please reply to this students post 5-8 sentences A book I read in high school that stands out to me was “The Things They Carried” by Tim O’Brien. I remember reading it in 11th grade and afterwards we had to write a paper on it. The theme of this book was about physical and emotional burdens that were left on Tim going through war. The stories coming from Tim O’Brien being in war made the horror stand out clearly. I enjoyed reading this because both of my grandfathers fought in World War 2 and it really put out there what these men went through. I couldn’t relate to this as much as my grandfathers could, but it told me stories of the Vietnam war in a way I could comprehend.
