RESPONSE 1:
This week we are talking about security certifications and training. There appears to be quite a few different certs out there that would be good to have. They are "a bachelor's degree, CompTIA Security ,Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),Certified Ethical Hacker (CEHv9) EC Council, Certified Information System Auditor (CISA),Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and GIA Penetration Tester (GPEN)" (freelancer.com).
I do know that there are a lot of people who are self-taught and that there are a ton of youtube videos. The different types of certifications are probably going to depend on what your job is and I do know that some jobs will pay you to get the certifications that they want you to have. But I would say the first thing you should have is a bachelor's degree, that will at least get your foot in the door to whatever company you are trying to work for.

RESPONSE 2:
There are many certifications that an IT will need to complete to be marketable in the workforce, the first thing that hiring managers are looking for is the certifications that are listed on the resume. An aspiring information security professional should first go after the CompTIA A certification to acquire professional credentials. This certificate will demonstrate that the holder has a good foundation in the world of IT. The CompTIA A certification is mostly about hardware, tech support, and troubleshooting. The certification also covers security, networking, and a few other subjects (Half, 2020).
After the CompTIA A is completed to demonstrate that you have a strong understanding of security, ISACA certifications should be sought after. The ISACA is globally recognized and manages several different certifications regarding security. The CISA is the certified information systems auditor, which will give you the skills to monitor, control and asses a system. The CISM is the certified information security manager, which shows that the holder can manage and build systems. Cybersecurity Nexus CSX will show that you are up to date with the most recent security threats (Half, 2020).
The CEH certification is the certified ethical hacker, which demonstrates that the holder specializes in penetration testing.
After I complete my degree, I will begin working on my CompTIA A and then the CEH. I would like to pursue a career in cyber security, and I think that working as an ethical hacker would be an interesting career choice. With the growing rise of security issues organizations are facing, it should not be that difficult to find steady employment.
