Response:
The bases for the theory are then an observation has been made and that when these certain things share the ct same space and time a particular thing is likely to happen. This theory will serve as the base for the many research projects that will take place. It is through a detailed investigation, testing, and evaluation that we will determine if the facts are true in most situations while allowing for different circumstances. A theory could” predict attitudes and beliefs about health care practitioners and their adherence to clinical practice” and, models “describe and/or guide the process of translating research into practice” (Nilsen, 2015)
The time invested in selecting an appropriate change theory is worth it when it can determine how successful we are in introducing, implementing, and sustaining a practice change. The use of a theory related to implementing practice change will assist in determining what will work and how best to get the team to see the need for compliance, the purpose, outcomes expectations, and the part they play.

Original Question: Why is it important to incorporate a theory or model related to change when implementing practice changes? Does the benefit of incorporating a change model outweigh the time and effort it took to include it?
