Sigmund Freud is considered one of the most influential personalities in psychology because of his tremendous contribution to the topic. Born in 1856 in Austria, he became a neurologist and formed the so-called Psychoanalysis technique, which many psychologists still practice.
One of the critical questions regarding the overall achievements of Freud and his personality revolves around the social, emotional, and moral factors that could have contributed to the development of Freud’s character and psychological development. One of the critical debates in psychology is based upon the notion of nature versus nurture. It is argued whether human development is affected mostly by nature itself or developed through the influence of the external environment. Therefore, it is believed that as humans evolve and grow, both the forces have an overall impact on their personality, behaviors, attitudes, and outcomes in their lives.
