Your company has just been hired to create an ad campaign for an online university's bachelor's degree program and you have been asked to head up the team that will be responsible for this new assignment.

  1. Who will be your target audience and where will you advertise?

My target market would be the following:

·  Employees working toward a promotion or career advancement and need Master’s or Doctoral Degrees

·  People hoping to change career paths

·  People looking to re-enter the workforce

·  Veterans

·  Single Mothers

·  Unemployed or displaced workers

·  Online High School Students

I would advertise online, in high schools, daycares, gas stations pumps, grocery stores, retail stores and malls that have digital marketing screens using corporate and celebrity endorsements.

.

  1. What will your message be?  Add value to your life by earning your Bachelor’s Degree with a college who values your time. Affordable education, you can’t afford to be without. Higher education when you want it and how you want it. Offering degrees in more areas of study than any other online college. Will it differ based on geographic location? I like the approach of brand consistency to ensure there is only one message. I would not change my message geographically. I think each target market would connect with value from a cost perspective as well as time and flexibility.
  2. How will you approach public relations?   Polls and surveys of current students and graduates, testimonials and success stories, press releases, blogs and transparency about schools performance.
  3. Will you use the Internet, social networking sites, and mobile ads?  Yes, I would use a strong YouTube advertising campaign. Social Media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Intstagram for the younger students. My kids are college age students and these are the social media outlets they use. This would be a great marketing strategy to drive up Google juice and generate leads. I would also use a strong email campaign to drive potential students to the school website.

Re:Unit 5 - Discussion Board

My target audience would be Millennials, Generation X and Generstion Y's, that have recently completed their Associates degree with a tendency top procrastinate.

The message would be about remembering why you begin your journey for a higher education and the fact that you still have work to do. Remembering your why?

The reason I feel it may vary due to geographics is because different geographic areas have gone through hardships as a collective, which may be the reason for a fall in their re-entry. For example, here in Texas, we recently overcame Hurricane Harvey. In Detroit and Michigan, their collective hardship bring other obstacles into play, for those areas deeper issues are presented and need to be addressed accordingly.

My public relations approach would be in your face and progressive.

I would definitely utilize various social media platforms. For example, a Youtube page where we would introduce individuals that have re-entered their study program and some that are on the fence and talk to the in an open forum about their "Why's.
