-A thesis and an evolved thesis 

- a variety of evidence (anecdotal, historical, quotes, quantitative, examples.) 

-Analysis of evidence in support of the thesis.  

The paper should be 

-target a narrow and specific topic. 

-the thesis specific and arguable. 

-active verb. 

-the thesis should evolve throughout the paper.

-should be at least 2 evolved theses.

-evidence employed that BOTH substantiates and complicates the theses.
