Respond to this 250 words and 2 apa citations

Already at week 6, it has been awesome; this week's topic is about Student Discipline and Code of Conduct at School.  Student Discipline as per McCarthy et al. (2009), states that the school boards are granted considerable latitude in establishing and interpreting their own disciplinary rules and regulations.  But less think about it for a moment; how this power is given?  The power is given to the school as McCarthy et al. (2009) state is that “disciplinary policies should be a way to address conduct; however, it can be struck down if it is unconstitutionally vague.  As we all know, policies need to be backed up with laws and regulations already established.

Discipline needs to be based on breaking any policy established by the school board that will damage the school image, teachers, administration, as well as the student or any other student.  So, how can we discipline a student that, in their websites, Facebook, Instagram, and in any other social media, can be punished?  As per McCarthy et al. (2009), it is difficult for the school to discipline students; while they are misbehaving o campus.  So, how can we as future educational leaders, work this out, and discipline the student?  The Code of Conduct establishes by the School Board, needs to have some guidelines to be able to teach the student for conduct on-campus that can act the school, the teachers, administration, and other students.

As we always have discussed, students have rights that the law already grants them such as, equal educational opportunities, without discriminating due to; race, national origin, sex, disability, marital status, or sexual orientation (Code of Conduct Osceola County, 2019).   So also, the Code states that the students have the right to freedom of speech, with limitations.  But if this limitation is overpassed or affects the school in any capacity, regardless is in their time, they can be disciplined based on the guidelines established by the district code of conduct and the school.
