PEER1One Laptop per Child is a great idea from my point of view. Donating laptops at the cost of $100 to child that needs it opens a lot of opportunities for children that are developing their minds. Children given the new device will be so interested in the technology that teaching them anything revolving around technology can have a huge effect. The interest will develop a competitive advantage in itself. The children will become technically inclined, being able to learn in another way other than being lectured to, learning from others around the world, developing friendships and studies from other countries, the competitive advantage will be based on how they developed the knowledge and utilize the skills acquired.Efficiency would be:Learning the functionality of a laptopLearning programs in laptopHow long it takes to develop the understanding of networkingEffectiveness would be:Establishing communication to each other through the laptopsBeing able to use the programsHaving the kids open the minds to the many possibilitiesReference:Baltzan, P. (2017). Business driven technology (7th ed.). New York, NY: McGraw-Hill/Irwin.PEER2I did read the one laptop per child section in chapter 4, and it is definitely a good idea. I would really support the chance for children to have the ability to learn what I know, and are able to do what I can do, so they don't have to rely on someone else. The advantage that could come from this would be that the children could possibly move on with their lives, learn what the rest of the world is doing, and learn some interesting fields that could motivate them to move on into the world and enhance the world for them. I did mention in another post about a metric that I would create, however this would have to take some time. I would see what children were using the new devices, if there grades improved, if they liked what they were doing, and where they went after the education on these devices. This way we could see if this idea actually worked, and if this was done in different geographical areas, then which areas are doing good, as well as areas that need improvement. Now I am not sure if the languages would have to be an issue, especially since English isn't the most common language. I would say that this might give the children a chance to learn some computer languages, and possibly make the change to come up with a more universal language.PEER 3With the help of the internet and donations from companies and individuals. The “One Laptop per child” idea and innovation is greatly helping the education of children in “third” developing countries, whom without would not have a chance to learn. It not only gives them a chance to learn but gives them the ability to learn skills they would not be able to learn without them. IT also gives them the skills they need to pursue a career or opportunity they would not be able to without them. This also allows them to connect with other children from other cultures from all different parts of the world. This broadens there learning and teaches them about cultures they may not ever learn about. This concept for the laptop itself is not that expensive, but I do know they hope to bring this to places that do not have electricity or internet. They are developing a cheaper way to connect them to the internet and the ability to have electricity. As far as I know they have not finalized how this will be or how it will be perceived by that community / culture.Metrics I could see from this:

How many users stick with it after it enters anew culture?
Sustainability in the country
Ability to easily for children in the culture
Improvement of lifestyle of children
Improvement of grades
How well the community embraces it
