Consider a large company that conducts business worldwide (companies like Exxon Mobile, Apple, Toyota, etc.).  Explain how the integration of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system could help mitigate risk and assist in organizational decision making to improve operational efficiency.  Be sure to include a description of an ERP system and the components (core and extended).  Be sure to utilize multiple sources in order to gain a broad spectrum of how the ERP experts describe such systems.
