Submission Instructions: ***** USE ATTACHED FILES TO COMPLETE ASSIGNMENT*****

  • The comparison table and evaluation must contain clear and concise language and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, and misspelling.
  • The comparison table need not be double spaced, but it should use Times New Roman, Calibri, or Arial font. Given that most of the points within the comparison table are in reference to the Compendium, simply placing the paragraph number in parentheses at the end of a sentence or bullet is sufficient (e.g., (6)). Please note that each entry in the table should contain a citation.
  • The reflection paragraph should be presented in double space, using Times New Roman, Calibri, or Arial font. Be sure to cite at least 1 source in your paragraph.
  • Neither a title page nor a bibliography are necessary for this assignment.
  • Complete and submit the assignment by 11:59 PM ET on Sunday.
  • Late work policies, expectations regarding proper citations, acceptable means of responding to peer feedback, and other expectations are at the discretion of the instructor.
  • You can expect feedback from the instructor within 48 to 72 hours from the Sunday due date.

*** THEN ADDING ON TO DOCUMENT TITLED (WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BE CATHOLIC)***

We are now nearly finished with the course and we have covered a lot of ground.

At the midway point, in the Module 3 Assignment, we paused to review what we had covered up to that point. For that paper, I asked you to imagine someone came up to you and asked you to explain Catholicism in the amount of time that person could stand on one leg. (Well, really I asked you to explain what Jesus' super-simple answer means.)

Now, three weeks later, you know even more. How would you respond now? Add another 400-500 words to your paper, including at least 5 additional references to course material (lectures, reading, videos, etc.) in your summary. (Note: You should also edit the paper based upon any feedback provided after Module 3.)

You must demonstrate mastery of the basic "narrative" or "journey" of the course and how the major themes of the course fit into that "narrative."

For these course summary papers, you should follow a basic format like this one:

  • Intro paragraph (Module 3 paper's intro should be edited to account for content through Module 6)
  • Body paragraph 1:  Summary of Module 1 (with one or two references to course material) - DONE
  • Body paragraph 2:  Summary of Module 2 (with one or two references to course material) - DONE
  • Body paragraph 3:  Summary of Module 3 (with one or two references to course material) - DONE
  • Body paragraph 4:  Summary of Module 4 (with one or two references to course material)
  • Body paragraph 5:  Summary of Module 5 (with one or two references to course material)
  • Body paragraph 6:  Summary of Module 6 (with one or two references to course material)
  • Concluding paragraph (Module 3 paper's conclusion should be edited to account for content through Module 6)

Submission Instructions:

  • Your summary must demonstrate evidence of mastering the course lecture and reading materials. You must include at least additional 5 references to course material (lectures, reading, videos, etc.) in your summary. (Note: This should bring your total references in the bibliography to at least 10.)
  • The paper is to be clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, and misspelling.
  • Please be sure to engage the reading and properly cite any references to the texts.
  • The paper should be formatted per current CMOS format and, now, the final paper should be 800-1000 words in length, excluding the title page, footnotes, and bibliography.
