Provide What You Think is Meant When You Hear the Term Strategic Allocation of Resources

The term “strategic allocation of resources” makes me thing of budgets and delegation, ensuring we are appropriately using our resources for our organization. Strategic allocation of resources to me means pledging to place our employees in the correct departments and providing them obligations and duties they are qualified to preform, guaranteeing that the organization will get the best outcome as well as budgeting our materials and resources correctly. Making sure our projects are on target for deadlines and providing the utmost impact and proficiency for our organization. I believe strategically allocating resources leads an organization to produces products that are of great quality, while also saving the organization money. When strategically allocating our resources, in general, we are ensuring we are focusing on our overall goals and working on our most critical projects and timelines first before moving on to those that are in less demand at this time. When allocating resources, we are trying to make sure we are getting the best products, while getting it at the lowest rate possible; the same for employees, making sure they are providing the best services at the best rate for the organization. Much like time management, I think strategic allocation of resources is to ensure we are prioritizing our project assignments and appropriately utilizing our employees.

What You Hope to Gain from this Course

In this course, I hope to gain knowledge that will equip me and teach me how to distribute inadequate resources within an organization. As an educator, there has been many times when I had to extend what I was provided; knowing how to properly utilize partial assets will be beneficial in any organization. From this course, I would like to gain knowledge on providing an engaging environment for employees, ensuring an opportunity for growth. Creating an environment that fosters support for employees, so they provide quality work for our establishment. I want to be versatile in understanding the applicable way to use limited supplies within the corporation.

Areas that You May NOT Understand

With my educational background, I do not necessarily understand analyzing resources for a whole organization, as I have had to ensure my individual classroom had everything we needed and/or my small groups for counseling sessions, but I have never been an administrator for the school. With that said, being able to accurately analyze resource availability for a company and make the best decision for the organization as a whole would be an area I may not fully understand. I also want to understand how to create project plans and deadlines, making sure we are properly planning without going over budget and utilizing our resources properly.

The Importance of this Concept to the Broader Areas of Business

Strategic allocation of resources in broader areas of business is effectively distributing resources that are provided to the organization. Resources such as technical, financial, and physical, guaranteeing it all supports the business goals. While strategically allocating the organizations resources, I would like employees to understand that their thoughts are valued and their contributions are essential to our organization’s growth. Employees understanding they are valued is an important for the growth and success of any business. Strategically dividing resources and valuing our employees will guarantee every department is able to operate to its greatest extent and elevate productivity.
