The past few years have seen an erosion of trust between the police and the general public. This is not the first time this has occurred in US history, but is a "current issue" that continues to make news. This is a good time to look at how we "measure police effectiveness".

After reading this article provide your response to the following questions:

It deals with procedural justice and fairness of police conduct, focusing on "analyses of the differences between rightful policing, lawful policing, and efficient policing. Crime-fighting effectiveness and the laws which regulate police conduct are addressed, along with remedies, crime reduction efforts, and American constitutional law. The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is also examined."
