The  Ring Shout & The Birth Of African-American Religion

 The paper must be original and specific to this semester, and must clearly reflect concepts from Africana Studies/Africana thought/action and social justice; for example, focusing on a topic or individuals in Africana Studies (e.g., Africana thought, ideology, philosophy, socio-cultural experience that have shaped the African American experience); again to the extent possible, with emphasis on social justice. The final research paper can also be an expansion of a topic we be have covered in class, but must show additional research. 

Assignment Instruction 

The final paper is five page papers will be double spaced in 12 pt. Times New Roman in APA style  (1840 words, not counting the title page, the Works Cited page. double-spaced, in 12pt Times New Roman font, one-inch left and right margins, the separate Works Cited page, and at least five sources other than assigned readings(with a max. of two credible web-based sources). Wikipedia-like sources are not acceptable. If you use online sources, they must have an author and come from a reputable publications (e.g., journals). Well-documented newspaper, magazine articles, TED talks or Youtubes are perfectly appropriate. If you have any questions, ask. More guidance will be provided.
