To teach others to be more enthusiastic about something it means that you want them to be not only excited about something but interested in the thing as well. Wordweb v8.1 (2017) defined enthusiastic as showing great excitement and interest. To teach people to be enthusiastic, they need to try the following:1). They should show excitement: For a classroom teacher to make the student more engaging, willing to be active participants or better yet, willing to express their problems and concerns in class, the teacher must be enthusiastic - must show interest and excitement in the course or topic he or she is teaching. Hall, G. (2016) wrote that "… if you're not enthused about a particular subject that you're teaching then it is difficult to convey enthusiasm." Additionally, a salesperson must show excitement about the product that he or she is presenting to the customer to incite the customer to work with you. Only by showing a level of excitement about something that you can stimulate interest or enthusiasm in that person to want to know more about that thing. 2). We are enthusiastic about something; it could be a product, a movie or a situation in life. Perhaps the new friend you are going to meet or a journey you are about to take. A crowd of enthusiastic people in the street - they are excited about the rally or protest they are conducting. One must know what excites them about something to replicate that excitement to others. If it is a product you are selling, you should know what excites you about the product. If it is a protest that you are doing, you should know what is it that you are striving for in the protest and that excites you to be enthusiastic about. If the thing or a situation doesn't excite you then you must act or appear enthusiastic about the thing. i.e show excitement. We must become actors to learn the craft of acting (Hall, G. 2016). Hall further quoted Dale Carnegie as saying, "Act enthusiastic and you will be enthusiastic."3). Reveal what excites you: If it is a product then there must be something in it that excites you. For example, a new shaving machine for men; perhaps it shaves without leaving the feeling of bumps. It is important to explain to your customer or concern partner why you are excited about the product or something. If you are simply excited about life - then there must be something that made you enthusiastic about life. You want to find that thing and reveal it. It could be your entourage or your social standard i.e. the ease with which you interact with people. Whatever the case may be, it boils down to one thing – it is revealing that excitement or whatever makes you enthusiastic about something that will help to replicate that feeling of excitement and interest on to others. When one is enthusiastic about something or a situation, as I explained above, it simply means that one is excited about that thing. With excitement comes positive feeling. When you feel good about something or a person it means you are positive that the thing or the person is good hence you develop a positive attitude around it or towards the person. A manager recruits a new sales representative and he has a good feeling that he has found the right person for the job. That positive feeling turns to excitement which could be displayed by a positive attitude toward the person or situation. Unlike positive attitude, negative attitude is the disposition of negative feeling in a manner that is not constructive, cooperative or optimistic (study.com, 2018). Negative attitude might occur occasionally in most people if not everyone. Sometimes a mere telephone call might swap your humor which could incidentally impact your attitude. It could be a letter informing you of a product rejection or the cancelation of a long-awaited appointment. It could be as simple as a bill. Negative attitude could be seen expressed in varying forms; a feeling of jealousy or inferiority complex. It could be the expectation of bad results or outcome in a deal etc.… People who inhibit negative attitude often have a short and clouded mind. They often judge, blame and compare wrongly. Furthermore, they are quickly exasperated and display an outburst of anger for infinitesimally small things that could be dealt with otherwise. References:Hall, G. (2016).
