The purpose of this unit’s lesson is to afford you an opportunity to demonstrate capability in an independent and self-directed data analytics project designed to solve problems. You will discuss this in this discussion. Complete the following steps:

Research an example of a business, government agency, or non-profit organization that used data analytics to address a problem. Summarize the example for the class. Cite your sources of information.

Explain how data analytics was employed to address the problem. Examine this thoroughly in your post, included who was involved (not necessarily names, but roles within the organization), how data was acquired, organized and examined, what results were generated, what resources and commitments were required to complete the project, etc.

Discuss the costs and benefits of the example you have chosen, and whether or not you think the data analytics effort was worthwhile for the organization.

Offer any suggestions you have for adjustment or improvement. What should the organization have done differently if it could go back?
