QUESTION

very confused about something.

very confused about something. 3 organisms (Clostridium dificil, Amoeba proteus, and halobacterium salinarum) are used to test out 3 new antibiotics that function by inhibiting the function of the 70s ribosome. Antibiotic A kills C. dificil and A. proteus, Antibiotic B kills just C. dificil, and antibiotic C kills all 3 organisms. If all the antibiotics are able to penetrate the cell wall and reach the ribosomes, how can these results be possible if all 3 antibiotics work by inhibiting 70s protein function?? Could it just be the bacteria used have different resistance genes and the amoeba was able to survive one of the antibiotics because the TD50 was higher?? how????
