For this assignment, you will assess the legacy of Walt Disney and his cultural impact on the United States.  After you watch both installments of the PBS "American Experience" program about Disney, compose a 4-6 page essay in which you will discuss how his work was an integral part of the development of the Hollywood motion picture industry, and how his Disneyland theme park became synonymous with post World War II era American life.  This essay is due on Friday, May 12, at 11:59 PM and is worth 15% of your overall class grade.  Late submissions of this assignment will be accepted for one week only after the due date, and a one-grade deduction will be added.  Please submit your essay in any of these formats: Word, Pages or PDF.
