  We've learned three types of speech are not protected by the First Amendment - Obscenity, Libel, and Words intended to incite others to violence.  We've also learned symbolic speech, depending on the act, may or may not be protected. In addition, the First Amendment protects the free exercise of religion while prohibiting the establishment of a national religion.  Finally, the First Amendment allows for freedom of the press, and the right to assemble and petition government. 

 type a three paragraph opinion essay answering the question "How Far should our First Amendment Rights go?  Use at least one court case from the text to support your position. Your essay may cover one aspect of the First Amendment. Freedom of Religion,Press, or Speech would be an example. If you use outside references, be sure to cite your sources.
