As social workers, we work continually to provide the most culturally responsive and informed work with our client populations. Not only is this an ethical obligation, but it sets the stage with our clients in all phases of social work: exploration, engagement, assessment, planning, and termination. It expands across every level and is essential in our work. The Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) consistently revises standards and competencies that define various activities associated with developing social workers through education programs, and one of the major foci is on ADEI.
