What is cosecant and cotangent of pi/3?
1. Covert ##pi/3## to degree measure:
##pi/3= (cancelpi/3)(180^o/cancelpi)=60^o##
The angle ##60^o## is on the first quadrant at the same time it is already the reference angle ##thetar## and in a rt. ##Delta, a=sqrt3, b=1, c= 2.##
##sin60^o = a/c = sqrt3/2##
##tan60^o= a/b=sqrt3/1##
Solving now the value of ##csc and cot## get the reciprocal of ##sin and tan.##
##csc(pi/3)=csc60^o= c/a = 2/sqrt3=(2sqrt3)/3##
##cot(pi/3)= cot60^o=b/a=1/sqrt3=sqrt3/3##
