What is your thought on this forum?

I have chosen to look into the Public Health Systems Research group (PHSR). The PHSR looks into the organization, financing, and delivery of public health services in communities and the impact of these services have on public health. It is a multidisciplinary field that researches system level properties and outcomes from interactions among various components of the public health system. They also study how these interactions affect organizations, communities, environments, and population health status. The PHSR includes governmental public health agencies engaged in providing the ten essential public health services. According to their mission statement, they use the term "services" loosely because this also includes programs, direct services, policies, laws, and regulations made to protect and promote the public's health.

This group is works on a national level due to the all the other programs and services working within it. They work with many different groups all the time but in 2017 the PHSR collaborated with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) to build a culture of health. The mission was to the connect the public health community with other sectors influencing health such as housing, transportation, environmental and social justice organizations. They are also responsible for leading initiatives to explore and enhance he U.S. public health system by developing and applying evidence to public health policy and practice.
