QUESTION

Who likes to avoid conflict?

Who likes to avoid conflict?  Most people will say they do! Yet conflict isn't always such a bad thing, after all competition helps drive people to perform better - isn't competition similar to conflict? Conflict avoidance can cause more problems than directly facing the issues at hand. If issues are faced, conflict may be managed (rules to the game?) and the results may increase trust, respect, and connectivity among employees within and across teams.

Describe an example of workplace conflict that demonstrates differences in the type of conflict (and resolution) between virtual teams and co-located teams.
