CLASSMATE’S POST
During the transfer of training process, supervisors play an important role. Supervisors must first realize and accept that the training is vital for the employees to learn and utilize on the job. With this understanding, supervisors need to support and trainees in the learning of the training and the application on their assignments. Supervisors also need to tell employees what they expect from them now that training has been completed. (Blanchard & Thacker, 2013). These things will all work towards the transfer of training to the employees. This will also motivate employees to learn the training to improve themselves which will lead to greater productivity and better work ethics. Peer support also helps the employee with the transfer of training because if all of the peers of the employee are interested in the training, the employee is likely to be interested as well. This acts as a support function for the employee to learn. The peers in the department must understand that training is vital to their job improvement abilities and be open to the new training to support each other in learning the new training. The employees must support the organization and goals in order for this to work in a positive manner. Experienced employees can lend their skills and abilities to augment the new training and this will help to get all employees on board with the new training and program. (Blanchard & Thacker, 2013)
