Now that you have had a chance to review the history of the labor movement, the legal environment of the labor movement and the structure of the labor organizations, and the entire labor relations process, consider whether unions do matter or whether the purpose of unions has passed in the United States.

Discuss this issue in an essay (minimum 500 words). Make sure to include in your essay the macroeconomic impact of unions, the prevalence of U.S. employment laws, whether HRM has replaced the need for unions and consider the three goals of the labor relation’s process (efficiency, equity, and voice).
