Why were the Axis nations less successful in mobilizing their populations and economic resources in the Second World War? What efforts did each side make to mobilize their populations, and which do you feel had more success at this? Why is the Second World War often seen in the light of stark moral choices (IE Good vs. Evil)? Do you think the war should really be seen in this light? Do you feel that one side or the other held the moral high ground in this conflict? Why or why not?
