It was on 29th September in the year of 2006 that there was a collision between a Boeing737-800 (PR-GTD) operated by Gol Airlines of Brazil along with an Embraer Legacy 600(N600XL) owned as well as operated by Excelaire of Long Island, New York. The collision took place over the Amazon jungle, nearly one hundred nautical miles away to the southeast of the Cachimbo Air Base in Brazil.
